Welcome to Osmosis STEM, a youth-led initiative under STEMinate that empowers individuals from all walks of life to explore, learn, and lead in STEM fields. We strive to provide STEM and research opportunities to underserved communities and facilitate the diffusion of scientific ideas worldwide for a brighter, more inclusive future.
What We Do
Mentorship ProgramOur mentorship program empowers individuals who are underrepresented in STEM by offering research guidance and resources. Currently, we are guiding students (grades 6-9) in underserved communities to conduct scientific research, write a research paper that will be published in our journal, and present their project in a symposium.

JournalAt Osmosis STEM, we aim to amplify the scientific interests of students and recognize their STEM efforts. We encourage curiosity and innovation by publishing student research and articles. Our goal is to promote the sharing of ideas, circulation of knowledge, and fostering collaboration and advancement in STEM. We guide and support emerging scientists by offering a platform for them to pursue their research interests and share their work with the scientific community.

Journal ClubThe Osmosis STEM Journal Club is dedicated to keeping high school students up-to-date with the latest advancements in STEM. Participants are assigned a peer-reviewed journal article to read before each meeting. During our twice-a-month virtual meetings, we review the article’s key points and analyze specific figures and diagrams. Through engaging discussions of scientific literature, our club promotes scientific literacy and provides a platform for students to deepen their knowledge and connect with like-minded peers.
